About Me
I have ridden horses since I was 6 years old, and spent many weekends working at my local riding school in return for a riding lesson. Having always dreamed of owning my own horse, and after having loaned many, I brought my first horse when I left home and started work.
My first horse was an ex-race horse who had many years of 'saddle issues', after having different 'back people' out to look at him I decided I needed to find a way to understand and help him for myself. I enrolled on an Equine Touch (ET) course being held at my friends yard in Chelmsford. I went along, not quite sure exactly what I was letting my self in for... and, well that was the start of a whole new learning curve that would take me across the world.

My training
I went on to complete my level one, two and three Equine Touch courses. Flying out to Texas, USA I took part in the first ever international Equine Touch instructors course. I underwent two weeks of intensive training from the founders, and my good friends Jock and Ivana Ruddock.
I am always looking to expand my knowledge and have also qualified as an Equine Body Worker. I have trained in equine first aid, rehabilitation, ground work and influencing factors awareness courses, taken extensive training in gait analysis. This has all taught me how complex, yet amazing the horse and its systems are.

From horses to people
Once I was qualified as an ET practitioner and Equine Bodyworker (EBW) I found that many of my horse clients were reflecting their riders tightness issues. I would see a rider walk past with one shoulder higher than the other and their horse would reflect the same issue.
With this in mind I decided if I truly wanted to help horses then I needed to be able to help the rider too. I went on a Vibromuscular Harmonisation Technique (VHT) course, this is ET for people. Needless to say I loved the course, I learnt even more and I continued my studying to become a qualified VHT practitioner.
My enthusiasm to help horses and people, and to learn new skills motivates me to learn more. I am a fully insured member of the International Equine Touch Association.
